Hey everyone, Laura here!
I am so excited to start this new part of the Heart Light business called Heart Light Creative! For years I have enjoyed
being creative, as I am sure many of you have too. I designed and made all the centerpieces for mine and Joe's wedding.
I handmade every invitation which was a scroll that was inserted in a glass bottle to represent a "message in a botte"
and our thank you cards were more like thank you booklets filled with our words of gratitude for our friends sharing
our special day with us, but each card was also filled with images from the day including images of each
person and/or family who attended the wedding in their own thank you card.
Creating things has always been one of my ways to express who I am, to give to the people I love and
a way for me to enjoy the feeling of making something new that may never have been before.
My life has been a whirlwind of experiences, most of them centered around teaching people something.
For over 20 years I taught both scuba divers and scuba instructors here in Massachusetts. During that time
I also spent a couple of years teaching young girls (and some not so little girls, but young girls at heart)
to swim in mermaid tails. Then I spent 6 years teaching people how to care for their furbabies through
Pet First Aid & CPR classes but I had to stop teaching that at the end of 2025 due to medical reasons.
I thought after closing Four Footed Family that my teaching days were over, but to be perfectly honest,
I MISS TEACHING PEOPLE THINGS!
So, here we go again!!! Poor Joe...there is a special place in heaven for a patient man like my husband.
I am pleased to introduce Heart Light Creative!!!
We will be offering Craft Nights and Crafting Experiences through Central Massachusetts and Northern
Rhode Island areas soon at different venues such as restaurants, taverns, breweries and some continuing education
programs as well. Our class experiences also make great team building and bridal and baby shower events.
